When you hear the term "Rockered Ski," think of the base of a rocking chair. Imagine the chair rocking back and forth in rythmic motion. Now imagine yourself on skis. Your skis are shaped like the rockers of the chair but wide like surf boards. Leaning back, ever so slightly, propels you into an effortless float on top of the powder.
A rockered tip indicates rise just in the tip of the ski while rockered tip and tail would indicate both. Camber identifies the shape of the ski when it sits flat on the ground. Reverse camber would be like the rocker of a rocking chair. Flat camber indicates that the ski is flat underfoot from where the early rise begins. Traditional camber is a downward arch forming from the effective points of the ski.
