Bluehouse continues to push the boundaries of early-rise and rocker technology with the new 2012 Precinct. The Precinct, 116 mm underfoot is the tip-rockered big brother to the award winning Bluehouse District and is the latest addition to the line of Bluehouse powder skis and progressively shaped skis on the market. The Precinct is an early-rise tip ski with traditional camber underfoot and an ever-so-slightly early-rise in the tail. The goal was an early-rise ski that allows straight-lines, stomping landings, and super-wide GS turns (or 1 turn). It's a light-weight, vertical laminated poplar core, carbon fiber reinforced, big-mountain ski for upper-mountain bowls that delivers confidence and stability but still offers the benefits of tip-rocker for easy up floatation allowing the driver to stay right up front. The tail allows for a smidge of splashy smearing when necessary in trees or tight spots but ultimately delivers a solid, smooth ride from top to bottom leaving you anxious for another lap.
The Precinct is the first Bluehouse model Made in the USA. Available in 3 sizes- 174 cm, 181 cm and 191 cm, it is a great choice of fat ski for the aggressive powder skier who enjoys picking up some speed and letting 'em rip! It's also a great option for the fat-ski backcountry traveler who needs the tip-rocker to get up and float on top of any snow condition.
Reviews:
"The Precinct was designed to bridge a gap between the District and the Shoots and it does just that. It's great for skiing fast and skiing deep, Utah powder. It became my touring ski of choice this season for it's combination of maneuverability and stability under higher speeds."
Dan Nebeker, Alta, UT
"The Precinct lets me keep total confidence when skiing fast."
Jared Richards, Solitude, UT
"The Precinct brings a little bit of everything to the table. It's aggressive, stable, fat, and really fun to open up the wide turns."
Rich Dunn, Little Cottonwood, UT
